The FDA recently approved Daxxify by Revance for temporary improvement of moderate-to-severe glabellar lines in adults. Daxxify is the first genuine neuromodulator innovation to the Aesthetics marketplace in more than 30 years.

Daxxify is an injectable toxin, or neuromodulator similar to Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. But Daxxify is, in fact, a new class of neuromodulator whose effects last two to three times as long as current neuromodulators. In clinical trials Daxxify’s results were shown to last as long as 6 to 9 months!! Longer lasting results means fewer trips to the clinic!

Glabellar lines are those two vertical lines that appear on the forehead between our eyebrows when we frown or focus. They are also referred to as the “elevens” due to their similar appearance to the number 11. By injecting Daxxify into the underlying muscles of the forehead they can be relaxed, smoothing the skin between your eyebrows that create these deep, undesirable lines.
And even more good news, Daxxify is free of animal products because it’s made from amino acids. It’s also been approved for a wide-variety of off label uses such as treating migraines, excessive sweating, TMJ and even urinary incontinence.
